THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD
For starters, GOD IS GOOD, not occasionally or situationally. God is good, and no evil comes from Him. No matter what life throws at you, God remains good, and He is always working things out for your good, even when it does not look like it.
Many times, we suffer not because God is absent, but because we lack knowledge. When you truly understand what Christ has already done for you, your posture toward life changes. You stop begging, stop bargaining, and start standing.
A few years ago, a family member was struggling intensely with her health. She went to the doctors, had surgeries, prayed, fasted, cried, you name it, Instead of getting better, things got worse. At some point, questions crept in.
Is God turning His back on us?
Why do the prayers feel unanswered?
Thankfully, we were quick to snap out of that space. We kept praying and believing, we refused to let doubt have the final word.
Then I had a dream.
What makes it even more striking is that physically, we were both in the same room, asleep. But in the dream, someone familiar appeared to me and said I had to pay a price for this family member to be healed.
Without hesitation, I responded, “I will not pay for what Christ has already paid for. If I pay, then everything Christ has done is a waste. So, no payment.”
Then I woke up.
That response stayed with me. I kept confessing it, right there, something settled in my spirit. I knew victory was ours!
Galatians 2:21 says,
“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
Isaiah 53:5 says,
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
In that moment, my spirit refused substitution.
I refused to add to the cross.
That conversation in the dream was ancient, transactional, rooted in fear, bargaining, and effort. but my spirit did not negotiate.
I did not ask how much.
I did not ask what kind of payment was required.
I did not ask when to pay.
My spirit answered from revelation, not desperation. The price has already been fully paid, asking me to pay again is a lie.
To add suffering to what Christ finished is to imply insufficiency, to add payment is to imply an existing debt, to add effort is to imply lack.
As believers, we don’t move like that!
Jesus did not leave anything unfinished, healing was not postponed, victory was not delayed. The cross was not a down payment, It was full settlement.
Faith is not fighting for what Christ has done.
Faith is agreeing with it.
Faith is standing in it.
Faith is refusing substitutes.
And that is where peace lives.
